Each month, a thoughtfully created envelope arrives with your child’s name on it, filled with secular nature-based, seasonal learning, hands-on activities, beautiful surprises, and an invitation to explore the natural world- meant to be opened, discovered and enjoyed side by side with a grown up.

This Month’s Adventure

  • Our Explorer Letter full of seasonal nature facts, a little history and an invitation to explore what this season has to offer.

  • A seasonally inspired Science Project selected to bring curiosity and connection!

  • An Art Project to bring a layer of learning through creativity and self-expression.

  • An Illustration that also has a story, poem or even a postcard.

  • A Seasonal Recipe about a food or herb that you can find and appreciate in the season. This brings a special layer of smell and taste that connects children to the season!

  • A special Gift like a seasonal souvenir this can be a sticker sheet, stickers, magnets, patches, bookmarks, etc.!

  • A BONUS mystery GIFT!

Childhood Could Use A Little More Snail Mail

Children are growing up in a world filled with screens, noise and constant stimulation. The Hedgewood Letter offers families another option: gentle meaningful enrichment that arrives ready to enjoy.

There is not complicated curriculum to prepare and no pressure to complete everything perfectly. Simply open the envelope, gather around the table, and explore the season together.

Each month brings a new seasonal letter with a different creature and food/herb to explore. Our letters encourage curiosity and connection to both nature and family. The Hedgewood letter is designed to create a slower and richer childhood experience!

Who is The Hedgewood Letter For?

The Hedgewood Letter is created for children (ages 5-11) who love:

  • Animals and the natural world

  • Receiving real mail with their name

  • Art, science, food, stories, and hands-on discovery

  • Seasonal learning without worksheets or overwhelm

  • Sharing meaningful activities with their families

Our Explorer Letter is a wonderful addition to any homeschool, afterschool enrichment, nature study, family time activity or weekend activities.

Choose how many letters you want- you can choose one for each Explorer in your house hold or you can choose that both names appear on one Explorer Letter to enjoy together.

Joining as a Family?

The Hedgewood Letter works with participating charter schools and homeschool programs.

Search for The Hedgewood Letter in your schools vendor list or purchasing portal. Your charter school will then contact us to arrange your child’s enrollment!

If we are NOT in your vendor list contact us so we can sign up to be a vendor for your school!
